While there are many presets created by Holland (varying in speed, intensity, and color effect), you can go in and adjust any of the transitions if the current presets don’t fit your needs. The great thing about this pack (besides the fact that won’t cost you a dime) is the ability to customize the look of each transition. All that’s left to do is to select a preset and apply it to the adjustment layer. Once you do so, you should place the adjustment layer in between the clips you want to transition, making the layer last for around 80 frames (40 for the first clip, 40 for the second). To take advantage of any of these transition presets, first you will need to create an adjustment layer since, obviously, this is not a typical transition effect. That will import all the transition presets so that you can easily use them in your current and future projects. Under Effects, right click on the tab and go to Presets > Import Presets and then navigate to the location of the transition pack files.
